Successful candidates will be responsible for organizing and managing the daily operation of underground utility projects, more specifically water pipe installation. All qualified candidates must have a valid driver’s license; must pass drug screening. Previous experience with water installation preferred.

Description of Tasks:

  • Pre-Survey job location, make calls to utility companies to locate facilities
  • Communicate with superintendent the needs for the specific jobs. Prepare manpower, equipment and material
  • Conduct job site safety evaluation daily
  • Manage the crew to work in a safe manner following all OSHA and company safety practices.
  • Manage crew to optimize production and profitability while maintaining a safe work environment
  • Maintain all paperwork as directed including timesheets, Job Site Safety and Tailgate Talk documentation, as-builts and daily production reports.
  • Secure work site at the end of each shift to ensure public safety and security of equipment and materials.
  • Machines, Tools Work Aids: Jack Hammers, Chop Saws, Tampers, Rollers, Vibratory Plates, Water Pump, Air Ventilator, Gas Monitors, Basic Hand Tools

  • Load material on to equipment and secure as directed
  • Report any unsafe conditions to foreman
  • Operate tools as directed by foreman
  • Place, remove or maintain underground utilities as directed. This would include but would not be limited to carrying pipe, bags of cement and other heavy
  • items. Jack hammering, shovelling, tamping and installing pipe, duct and cable.
  • At all times work in a safe manner
